Job Summary
As a Technical Material Management Specialist, you will take full responsibility for the classification and assignment of customs tariff numbers, including personal certification. Your daily routine involves the independent management of GTIN and GS1 numbers, as well as the maintenance and quality assurance of material master data in compliance with REACH and RoHS regulations. A significant part of the role includes evaluating and introducing replacement materials for discontinued components and providing expert technical advice to development departments. You will also collaborate on cost estimations for development and change processes. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of technical engineering expertise and supply chain compliance, offering a permanent contract with above-tariff compensation, flexible working hours via a flexitime account, and potential home-office options. Required Skills
Education
Vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Information Electronics, System Electronics) supplemented by further training as a Technician or Master Craftsman; alternatively, a university degree in a STEM or engineering field.
Experience
- Initial professional experience in a technical or material management environment
- Professional experience in electrical engineering, information electronics, or system electronics
- Experience in evaluating technical datasheets for electromechanical and electronic components
- Experience working with SAP systems for data maintenance
- Experience in managing material lifecycles and obsolescence management
Languages
Additional
- Personal certification for customs tariff number assignment is required as part of the role. The position involves location-based work with home-office options available upon consultation.
