Job Summary

As a (Junior) Electrical Engineer at DB Energie's Control Center in Leipzig, you will serve as a critical guardian of the German railway's power supply. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring and ensuring the safety of 15-kV and 50-Hz power networks, coordinating complex switching operations, and managing real-time system stability. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor or Master). Qualification as a Qualified Electrician (Elektrofachkraft) according to DIN/VDE 1000 and switching authorization up to 110kV is ideal (can be acquired during onboarding).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the environment of electrotechnical systems, preferably high-voltage systems or electrical operational management
  • Experience in creating switching programs and operational instructions is preferred
  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating technical malfunctions and network situations
