Job Summary

As a Construction Manager for Deutsche Telekom Tiefbau GmbH, you will lead approximately 18 employees across multiple civil engineering teams to accelerate Germany's fiber optic expansion. Your daily responsibilities include planning and controlling construction sites to ensure technical, scheduling, and economic targets are met. You will oversee the proper creation and backfilling of cable trenches, as well as the installation of cables and pipes. Beyond technical supervision, you are responsible for personnel management, including hiring and staff development. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, local authorities, and third-party stakeholders while ensuring strict adherence to occupational safety and environmental regulations. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering or Business Engineering (Construction focus preferred). Alternatively, a completed vocational training qualification combined with several years of professional experience in civil engineering.

  • Extensive technical knowledge in civil engineering and trenching
  • Experience in personnel recruitment and leadership of technical teams
  • Proven experience in construction preparation and coordination of site teams

  • Valid Class B driver's license is mandatory. Willingness for regional and occasional supra-regional travel. Possession of SiGeKo RAB30 certification is ideal. Role is available as full-time (40 hours) or part-time.
