Job Summary
As an Accounting Manager at Deutsche Telekom Services Europe, you will be responsible for internal controls and the oversight of ongoing accounting and financial statement preparation for fixed assets, leasing, and asset retirement obligations (ARO). Your day-to-day involves ensuring compliance with both HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS standards, contributing to financial reporting, and developing group-wide accounting policies. You will serve as a key point of contact for auditors and tax inspectors while leading strategically aligned projects and IT transformations, such as SAP S/4HANA migrations. This role is unique for its high level of influence over international shared service operations and its involvement in complex group-wide structural changes. It offers a professional environment within a major international telecommunications group, requiring a blend of technical accounting expertise and project management leadership.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Business Administration or a comparable professional qualification with a relevant specialization or additional technical training.
Experience
- Approximately 5 years of experience in preparing individual and/or consolidated financial statements within an international corporation or a major international auditing firm
- Extensive professional experience in the field of accounting and financial reporting
- Proven experience in leading strategic and cross-functional projects
- Demonstrated experience with internal controls and audit coordination
- Experience in managing transfers and migrations during organizational or corporate restructuring

Additional
- Willingness to travel abroad, particularly to international Shared Service locations and foreign client sites. Position is available as full-time or part-time.
