Job Summary
As a Packaging Engineer at Big Dutchman in Vechta, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing technical packaging concepts for international agricultural technology projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting real-world handling and transport tests to ensure the quality and functionality of packaging for metal, plastic, electrical, and electronic products. You will select materials based on technical, economic, and sustainability criteria while creating technical packing instructions. This role requires close collaboration with logistics, engineering, purchasing, and sales departments to analyze KPIs, such as damage rates, and implement process improvements. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Packaging Technology, Material Sciences, or a comparable engineering degree.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the development of technical packaging
- Experience working within global supply chains
- Proven experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
- Experience in cross-departmental collaboration with logistics, engineering, and purchasing
