Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position at the University of Münster's Institute for Integrative Cell Biology and Physiology involves a blend of teaching, research, and administrative management. The successful candidate will deliver 9 hours of weekly teaching (SWS) across Bachelor's and Master's programs in Biosciences and Molecular Biomedicine. A key focus of the role is the conceptualization and implementation of new courses in data analysis using modern bioinformatic methods. Beyond teaching, you will contribute to the institute's research profile—including the Collaborative Research Centre 1348—by conducting independent research and securing third-party funding. Administratively, you will oversee laboratory safety and infrastructure/equipment management. This role is unique for its path to civil servant status (Beamtenverhältnis) and its integration into a highly networked research environment that spans molecular analysis to in vivo studies. It offers an excellent platform for an academic professional to bridge the gap between advanced data science and traditional biological research.
