Job Summary

As a Vulnerability Research Analyst and IT Forensic Specialist at Diehl Defence, you will play a critical role in securing hardware and software systems through advanced firmware analysis, fuzz testing, and sandboxing. Your daily responsibilities include developing testing concepts, enhancing the tool landscape for binary analysis, and supporting the Security Operations Center (SOC) with real-time forensic investigations. You will also lead responsible disclosure processes, coordinating closely with legal departments, external CERTs, and suppliers. This position is particularly attractive for those with a background in high-security environments, such as military or intelligence services, offering a hybrid work model and the chance to work on cutting-edge defense technology. You will be instrumental in identifying backdoors and malicious code while shaping the company's internal software approval processes.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree with a focus on Information Technology or a comparable vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in vulnerability research, backdoor detection, and malware analysis.
  • Professional experience using debuggers, disassemblers, sandboxes, and binary analysis tools.
  • Experience in developing testing concepts and software/hardware analysis toolsets.
  • Preferred experience in high-security IT (VS-IT) or a background in government agencies such as the military, police, or intelligence services.
