As a (Junior) Data Engineer in the Public Sector division, you will play a vital role in shaping the digital future of Germany's federal, state, and local governments. Working within an agile Data Intelligence unit, you will collaborate with experienced colleagues to design and implement robust data pipelines, automate existing data workflows, and ensure high data quality. Your daily responsibilities include managing SQL databases, developing performance-oriented data models, and conducting Proof of Concepts for emerging technologies. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Initial practical experience in data handling through internships, working student roles, or early professional experience
  • Basic knowledge in building ETL pipelines and data models
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems
  • Initial exposure to container platforms or CI/CD tools is preferred
