Job Summary
As a Senior Dosimetry & Validation Specialist at STERIS AST's new facility in Höchstadt an der Aisch, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing sterilization processes using high-performance electron accelerators and X-ray technology. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing complex dosimetric measurements, maintaining ESR spectrometers, and coordinating the calibration of process-critical equipment. You will lead product validations (PQ) according to ISO 11137 and ISO 13485, serving as a subject matter expert for both internal teams and external customers. This role is unique as it offers the opportunity to be a founding member of a state-of-the-art site, actively shaping the setup and implementation of new global radiation technology standards. The position is ideal for professionals with a background in medical technology or physics who enjoy a mix of hands-on technical work, statistical analysis, and cross-departmental coordination within a global market leader.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in a technical, scientific, or commercial field (e.g., Medical Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Measurement Technology, Quality Assurance, or Biomedical/Life Science Engineering).
Experience
- Professional experience in radiation sterilization (X-Ray, Electron Accelerator), dosimetry, or ISO-regulated validation processes is preferred
- Experience in performing technical measurements and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Proven track record in project-related product validation and documentation
- Experience in interdisciplinary communication and customer support as a technical expert
- Experience with statistical methods for routine irradiation control
