Job Summary
As a Data Integration Engineer in the energy trading sector, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines and ensuring reliable data flows. Your day-to-day activities involve developing Python-based ETL processes, implementing REST APIs, and managing secure data exchanges via SFTP. You will play a critical role in ensuring complex market data reaches its destination in real-time and with high traceability. Working within an Azure cloud environment, you will collaborate closely with trading desks, portfolio management, and external providers to document and map data formats. This position is particularly attractive due to its flexible working arrangements, including remote options, a modern workplace in Berlin-Tempelhof, and a permanent contract within a stable family-owned company. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable vocational training with relevant further professional qualifications.
Experience
- 2–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Backend Development, or Integration Development
- Proven expertise in Python programming and API development
- Professional experience working in multi-stakeholder environments requiring structured communication
- Experience with end-to-end data processes within a trading or energy market context
- Experience in documenting technical APIs and ETL processes
