Job Summary
This role is central to the operation and evolution of the Microsoft-based infrastructure for the District of Recklinghausen. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will manage a hybrid environment, focusing on Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Azure/Entra ID. Your daily responsibilities include overseeing Microsoft Teams administration, managing DNS/DHCP services, and maintaining PKI/certificate systems. You will play a key role in modernizing the infrastructure by expanding monitoring capabilities and leading independent IT projects in collaboration with internal departments and external partners. The position requires a candidate with strong technical proficiency in Microsoft 365 environments and a structured approach to troubleshooting. Required Skills
Education
University degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable field; alternatively, completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) with several years of relevant experience.

- Professional experience in IT infrastructure and system integration
- Practical experience with Azure/Entra ID and hybrid cloud scenarios
- Extensive experience in Windows Server and Active Directory administration
- Proven experience in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 environment administration
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring and stabilizing IT services
- Experience in planning and implementing independent IT projects
- Several years of relevant professional experience required if applying with a vocational qualification
