Job Summary
This role is part of the International Max Planck Research School for Living Matter (IMPRS-LM), offering a fully funded PhD position in the Ruhr Metropolitan Area. As a doctoral researcher, you will engage in interdisciplinary research to understand how chemical components self-organize into living cells. Day-to-day activities involve conducting hands-on research in world-class laboratories, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities, and collaborating with a diverse team of molecular biologists, chemists, and physicists. Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, (Bio-)Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience
- Professional experience in scientific research within biology, chemistry, or physics
- Experience with laboratory techniques relevant to life sciences
- Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international research environment
- Previous participation in academic projects or research internships
