Job Summary

As a Communications Engineer within the WDR Program Distribution department, you will play a pivotal role in planning and operating the technical systems and networks that broadcast content via terrestrial transmitters, satellites, and the internet. Your daily responsibilities include leading complex investment projects and managing large, heterogeneous project teams. You will be responsible for the conceptual design of networked digital transmitter systems, coordinating both internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring robust IT security throughout project implementation. This role is unique for its involvement in large-scale media-over-IP infrastructure and high-profile national and EU-wide tender processes. Required Skills

Education

University degree (ideally a Master's) in Communications Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in leading complex investment projects and heterogeneous project teams
  • Extensive experience in planning and conceptualizing large-scale networked digital transmitter systems
  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies and controlling project workflows
  • Practical experience in creating national and EU-wide tender documentation
  • Experience in implementing and updating IT security concepts within technical projects
