The Laboratory Support Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operational flow of laboratory activities at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating, cleaning, and maintaining lab equipment, performing routine instrument calibrations, and preparing essential chemical solutions like buffers and reagents according to strict protocols. You will also manage laboratory inventory through KanBan tracking and handle the safe disposal of hazardous chemical and pharmaceutical waste. Required Skills
Education
Technical training/vocational degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; or equivalent laboratory experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in a laboratory-based role involving routine handling of chemicals and reagents
- Experience in operating laboratory equipment and preparing chemical solutions
- Proven experience working within GMP/GSP regulated environments
- Experience in technical documentation and maintaining safety registers

- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gowns, and gloves. Physical resilience required for lifting and transporting laboratory supplies. Position involves working with hazardous and toxic materials.
