Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the planning and coordination of constructive designs within the shipbuilding sector, specifically focusing on ship theory, safety, and structural integrity. As a Sub-Project Manager, you will lead a technical sub-project team and serve as a vital link between the design and production departments to ensure seamless project execution. Your daily responsibilities include coordinating with international clients, classification societies, flag states, and suppliers. You will be responsible for drafting technical specifications for procurement, evaluating supplier quotes, and managing external design partners in the structural field. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in naval architecture or mechanical engineering who enjoys a mix of technical oversight, leadership, and stakeholder management. The role offers a permanent contract and the opportunity to work with a leading international engineering specialist on high-impact maritime projects.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in shipbuilding or special-purpose machinery manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience in leading technical teams and personnel leadership is ideally required
  • Experience in coordinating with classification societies and flag states
  • Experience in procurement processes and technical bid evaluation
