Job Summary
As a Network Engineer at Netz Leipzig, you will play a critical role in ensuring the technical reliability of energy distribution across the Leipzig region. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the independent evaluation, certification, and testing of new network components, software versions, and configurations. You will take full ownership of planning, implementing, and operating IP networks, including firewall and peering solutions. Beyond technical tasks, you will act as a strategic partner by selecting and managing external service providers and creating decision-making frameworks for various stakeholders. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the ICT environment with a clear focus on network technologies and IP networks
- Proven experience in project management and structured problem-solving
- Experience in the technical and strategic management of external service providers
- Professional experience in network administration, documentation, and fault clearance
