Job Summary

The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transportation (NLStBV) is seeking a Civil Engineer to serve as the Head of District Road Management in Hameln. In this leadership role, you will act as the central point of contact for district authorities, coordinating all road-related matters and representing the department externally. Your daily responsibilities include personnel management, technical guidance for your team, and the development of construction programs based on road assessment data. You will also be responsible for coordinating traffic and construction measures with other departments and project groups, ensuring uniform standards and managing budget reports (KLR). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Business Engineering with a focus on Civil Engineering, or a comparable field. For civil servants: Qualification for the first entry office of career group 2 in Technical Services.

Experience

  • Many years of practical professional experience in road management or a related field
  • Experience in personnel management and technical leadership of a team
  • Proven experience in coordinating complex construction and traffic measures
  • Experience in evaluating technical assessment documents for infrastructure
