As a Senior PLC Software Engineer at BEUMER GROUP, you will be instrumental in developing project-specific PLC software for advanced baggage handling systems. Your daily responsibilities include integrating custom client requirements into existing software architectures, ensuring safe plant operations, and optimizing baggage loading for autonomous vehicles. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial analysis and conceptual design through to implementation, testing, and on-site commissioning. Beyond technical tasks, you will mentor new team members and collaborate with international project teams. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in handling complex automation tasks
- Extensive experience in programming with Siemens Step7 and/or Siemens TIA Portal
- Professional experience in the field of intralogistics is highly preferred
- Experience in mentoring or training team members
- Experience participating in all project phases including on-site commissioning
