Job Summary
This role involves managing and securing the digital infrastructure for the City of Konstanz. As an IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the future-oriented operation of server and cloud infrastructures, ensuring high availability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. Your day-to-day tasks include steering the implementation of the city's IT security strategy, managing backup and restore processes, and handling patch and vulnerability management. You will work with modern virtualization and container technologies to provide stable platform services for municipal departments. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with significant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in the administration of large Windows and Linux server infrastructures
- Professional experience in operational IT security
- Practical experience in project management for large-scale projects
- Experience in planning and implementing backup and restore processes
- Experience in deploying and operating cloud-based services and platform technologies
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience required if applying with a vocational training background instead of a degree
