Job Summary

As a Laboratory Manager at Azenta Life Sciences in Leipzig, you will lead the Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Sanger Sequencing, Process Development, and Bioinformatics teams, overseeing personnel selection, development, and performance. Your role involves critical capacity planning and coordination to ensure timely completion of customer orders, acting as a key liaison with supporting departments like HR, Finance, IT, and Quality Management. You will be responsible for cost monitoring and controlling, including material costs, procurement, and inventory. A significant part of the role is driving continuous improvement of laboratory processes, establishing new services, and expanding the product portfolio through upscaling and automation. You will also prepare for and implement existing and future certifications (DIN ISO 9001, DIN ISO 17025) and collaborate closely with international laboratory sites.
