Job Summary

This role is based within the administrative office of the Cluster of Excellence at the University of Konstanz, focusing on the political causes and consequences of inequality. As a Research Management Officer, you will provide critical support and advice to researchers across disciplines such as political science, sociology, and economics. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing data protection and research ethics, overseeing procurement processes, and coordinating the 'Methods and Data Hub'. You will also play a key role in community building, networking, and supporting early-career researchers. The position involves monitoring and reporting on research activities to ensure the cluster's objectives are met. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in (quantitative) social research; a Doctorate (PhD) is considered an advantage.

Experience

  • Proven organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in (quantitative) social research

  • The position is fixed-term until December 31, 2029, with a planned extension until the end of 2032. The role is based in Konstanz and is eligible for part-time division. Compensation follows the TV-L E 13 salary scale.
