As a High-Activity Source Technician in Radeberg, you will play a vital role in the specialized field of radioactive source management and decommissioning. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve planning and coordinating project preparations, including container readiness and the physical loading/unloading of irradiation facilities. You will perform source exchanges, dismantle equipment, and maintain technical radiation protection measures. Required Skills
Education
Completed Master Craftsman (Meister), Technician training, or a University/BA degree in Radiation Technology or a related technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in the radiation protection or nuclear sector is preferred
- Experience in metalworking and tool design for technical optimization
- Practical experience in maintenance and repair of technical systems
- Experience in project preparation and logistics, specifically container handling
- Background in technical radiation protection measures and quality assurance
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license and forklift license are mandatory. Willingness for worldwide business travel and regular further training is required. Class CE driver's license is an advantage.
