This role involves serving as a subject matter expert for the North Rhine-Westphalia Police (LAFP NRW) at their Neuss location, focusing on the specialized field of macOS cybercrime and IT forensics. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, conducting, and evaluating advanced training programs for police officers, ensuring the curriculum reflects the latest scientific and technical developments. A significant portion of the day-to-day work includes developing innovative forensic analysis routines and automation tools specifically for the Apple ecosystem, covering both live and post-mortem investigations. Beyond technical development, the role requires active participation in national and international expert networks, including collaboration with Europol and the BKA. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field with equivalent demonstrable knowledge in Informatics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Computer Science with a focus on Unix-based systems or macOS
  • Experience in teaching, lecturing, or adult education is highly desirable
  • Experience in developing IT forensic programs and analysis workflows
  • Experience in evaluating current cybercrime phenomena and scientific trends
  • Experience in national or international scientific networking and knowledge exchange
