Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position involves managing wastewater infrastructure for the Verbandsgemeinde Linz am Rhein. You will serve as a technical project manager overseeing the optimization of drainage systems and wastewater treatment plants across all HOAI performance phases. Key responsibilities include coordinating construction and maintenance with engineering firms, preparing public tenders, and acting as the Technical Manager (TSM) and Water Protection Officer. You will also collaborate with technical staff, prepare budget plans, and represent the department in committee meetings. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Management, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in sewer maintenance, construction, or renovation is desirable
- Experience in project management and technical project steering
- Experience with public sector procurement processes and regulations (VOB/HOAI)
- Experience in coordinating with engineering offices, service providers, and regulatory authorities

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to attend occasional committee meetings outside of regular business hours. Must be eligible for public service employment in Germany.
