This leadership role involves overseeing the entire Technical IT Operations department, which is divided into three core units: Network Security and Data Networks, Data Center and Server Operations, and Databases and Backup Systems. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (Scientific University Degree) in an IT-related field, or eligibility for the German higher civil service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 2. Einstiegsamt), or equivalent professional qualifications/experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in leading a large organizational unit (several years preferred)
- Proven experience in conceptual personnel management and staff development
- Extensive technical experience in network security, data networks, and server operations
- Experience in project management and coordination of complex IT services
- Experience in presenting technical and strategic topics to political or executive committees

- The role is based in Hagen, Germany. Candidates must meet specific German public service pay scale requirements (TVöD VKA E13/E12) or civil service grades (A 13 LBesG NRW). Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Home Office) is available.
