Job Summary

As an Electrical Development Engineer for TKMS GmbH, a global leader in submarines and naval vessels, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of power electronic components such as inverters and DC-DC converters. Based in Kiel, your daily tasks involve circuit design using ECAD tools, conducting simulations for current and electromagnetic compatibility, and building prototypes. You will play a critical role in debugging and validating hardware using advanced measuring equipment like oscilloscopes and power analyzers. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the high-stakes defense and maritime sector, collaborating closely with software and systems engineers to ensure components meet rigorous military and international quality standards (MIL-STD, IEC). The role is attractive due to its comprehensive scope—from initial concept to series production—within a stable, permanent contract framework and an attractive tariff-based compensation package.
