Job Summary

As a Climate Protection Manager at the Hof University of Applied Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in the GreenTech staff unit, driving the institution's sustainability and climate goals. Your daily responsibilities will include implementing and evolving Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Environmental Management Systems (UMS), specifically focusing on ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards. You will be responsible for calculating greenhouse gas balances (Scopes 1–3), monitoring sustainability KPIs, and reporting on progress. Beyond technical management, you will act as a consultant for various departments, supporting the implementation of concrete climate protection projects and shaping the university-wide sustainability strategy. Required Skills

Education

University degree in a technical field such as Energy Technology, Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Environmental Management, or Sustainability.

Experience

  • Professional experience in energy management, environmental management, or building operations
  • Practical experience in creating greenhouse gas balances
  • Experience with ISO management systems or similar environmental standards
  • Experience in organizational and administrative tasks within a technical or sustainability context
