Job Summary

This role involves supporting a major company in the energy sector with the migration and management of database systems within a Datalab environment. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for sizing Azure servers for SQL databases and selecting appropriate Azure resources to ensure optimal performance. A significant portion of the role focuses on creating migration prerequisites, such as managing access permissions and firewall clearances, and executing the transition of databases from on-premise SQL clusters to the Microsoft Azure cloud. Beyond migration, you will handle the ongoing administration of on-premise MS SQL clusters and servers. This position offers a high degree of flexibility with remote work options, though initial on-site presence in Augsburg is preferred for onboarding. It is a great opportunity for data professionals to work on large-scale cloud migration projects in a critical infrastructure industry.
