Job Summary
As the Head of Development, you will lead and grow an interdisciplinary team of engineers at a modern family-owned company specializing in emergency and safety lighting. Your day-to-day role involves the technical and disciplinary management of the R&D department, overseeing the development of electronic components, power electronics, and embedded software (C/C++). You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept and resource planning to testing and compliance with industry standards like DIN EN 60598. Key technical focus areas include integrating communication interfaces such as DALI and ZigBee, as well as evaluating new battery and storage technologies. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field of study.
Experience

- Leadership experience in a technical or engineering environment
- Experience with communication interfaces, testing, and validation procedures
- Experience in managing the full development process from idea to market readiness
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
