As a Software Test Engineer at SOFTWARE ENGINEERING GmbH, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex software systems within a technically demanding environment. Your daily responsibilities will involve designing and evolving test strategies, plans, and cases for both new and existing solutions. You will be responsible for executing a mix of manual and automated tests, performing structured error analyses, and collaborating closely with developers and Product Owners to refine requirements. A key focus of the role is the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and the continuous improvement of QA processes through code reviews. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable STEM field; alternatively, a technical qualification (e.g., IT Specialist) with relevant practical experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks
- Experience working with modern software development processes such as Agile or V-Model
- Experience using bug-tracking and version control systems
