Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position based in Freiburg involves leading the HR Services department for the Archdiocese of Freiburg. As the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, the successful candidate will manage a dedicated team, optimize personnel processes, and ensure organizational consistency across administrative workflows. Key responsibilities include clarifying labor law interpretations, participating in employer-employee representative communications, and conducting job evaluations. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can navigate both state and ecclesiastical labor laws while identifying with the values of the Catholic Church. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor of Laws, Public Management, Diploma in Public Administration, Diploma in Finance, or equivalent) with a focus on Human Resources.
Experience
- Leadership experience in HR administration or a comparable field
- Extensive professional experience with state and ecclesiastical collective bargaining laws (TV-L/AVO)
- Professional experience in labor, service, and pension law
- Experience in managing organizational workflows and HR projects

- Identification with the goals and values of the Catholic Church is required. Location: Freiburg, Germany. Full-time (39.5 hours/week) but position is divisible.
