Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the basic and detailed planning of electrical, measurement, control, and automation systems using modern engineering tools. Your daily activities involve analyzing customer requirements and drafting technical specifications for the procurement of components and systems. You will play a critical role in the purchasing process by evaluating bids and coordinating with suppliers to ensure technical compliance, quality, and adherence to deadlines. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with mechanical engineering teams and project management to ensure seamless technical interfaces. Beyond office-based design work, you may also support on-site activities including assembly supervision, site coordination, and commissioning. This position is ideal for a structured professional who enjoys interdisciplinary teamwork and technical communication in an industrial plant engineering environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical education from a Higher Technical Institute (HTL), University of Applied Sciences (FH), or Technical University (TU) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical and instrumentation technology, preferably within industrial plant construction
  • Experience in basic and detailed engineering planning
  • Experience in technical procurement and supplier evaluation
  • Background in industrial process sequences, ideally in the energy or process industry
  • Experience with engineering software such as COMOS or EPLAN
