Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role involves the technical maintenance and management of waterways and hydraulic structures such as locks, weirs, pumping stations, and bridges within the Spree-Havel district. Based in Rathenow, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance measures, assessing structural damage, and ensuring the operational safety and stability of various facilities. Day-to-day tasks include creating maintenance schedules, managing tenders and contracts, and supervising construction work on-site. The position is ideal for a qualified technician or master craftsman with a background in civil engineering or construction who enjoys a mix of office-based planning and field-based supervision. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) specializing in Civil Engineering (Structural or Civil/Underground) OR Master Craftsman (Meister) in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Road Construction, or related construction trades with IHK certification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and executing maintenance for buildings or hydraulic structures
  • Experience in assessing structural damage and technical equipment safety
  • Practical experience in tendering, awarding contracts, and construction site supervision
  • Experience working with public procurement regulations (VOB/VOL)
  • Experience in creating maintenance schedules and program planning
