Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Technical Officer within the Regional Trade Inspection Office of the Structural and Approval Directorate South (SGD Süd) in Neustadt, Germany. The successful candidate will focus on monitoring occupational health, safety, and emission control across various industries. Day-to-day responsibilities are split between field work, involving on-site inspections of plants and businesses, and office-based tasks such as processing statements, applications, permits, and complaints. Candidates should hold a degree in an engineering or natural science discipline and possess strong communication skills for professional interactions. This position is particularly attractive due to its long-term stability in the public sector, offering an initial permanent contract under TV-L E10 with the clear objective of transitioning into a civil servant (Beamte) status. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Diplom-Ingenieur FH) in a relevant natural science or engineering field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Process Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a relevant technical or scientific field
- Practical knowledge and experience in occupational safety and/or emission control is preferred
- Experience in independent working and professional communication in a regulatory context
