Job Summary
This role involves managing critical municipal infrastructure and sustainability projects for the municipality of Calden. As a central figure in urban planning, you will lead the creation of Integrated Urban Development Concepts (ISEK) and oversee 'Lively Centers' and village development programs. A significant portion of the role focuses on environmental strategy, specifically developing climate protection concepts and municipal heat planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include representing the municipality in steering groups, managing public relations, and overseeing the planning, tendering, and construction supervision of individual projects. You will also handle budget controlling and prepare formal resolutions for political committees. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in urban planning, civil engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the creation and implementation of climate protection or heat planning concepts
- Proven experience in project management, including planning and construction supervision
- Experience in public administration processes, including budget management and committee work
- Demonstrated leadership and social competence in a professional environment
