Job Summary
As the Regional Director for the North region, you will lead approximately 130 employees across five locations, including Göttingen and Hardegsen. You will hold power of attorney (Prokura) and be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the regional center. Your day-to-day involves overseeing the planning, construction, and operation of energy supply networks while ensuring economic efficiency and regulatory compliance. You will act as the primary representative for the company towards municipalities and external stakeholders, driving the energy transition through strategic organizational development and process optimization. This role is highly attractive for a senior engineering professional who enjoys a mix of strategic leadership, public relations, and hands-on regional management. The position offers a high degree of responsibility within a 100% municipal company, providing stability and a direct impact on regional infrastructure development.
Required Skills
Education
Master's or Diploma degree in Engineering (e.g., Energy Technology or Electrical Engineering). Additional qualification as a Network Engineer for Gas and/or Water supply is desirable.
Experience
- Extensive leadership experience, ideally within the energy industry
- Proven experience in managing large teams (approx. 130 employees)
- Professional experience in engineering management and strategic organizational development
- Experience in representing corporate interests to municipal and public stakeholders
- Background in managing energy supply networks and infrastructure projects
