Job Summary
This role within the Recklinghausen Police Headquarters focuses on the proactive prevention of cybercrime. Based in Dorsten-Wulfen, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing targeted prevention measures, image campaigns, and training programs for both internal and external audiences. Key daily activities include providing IT security consultations for small and medium-sized enterprises, managing the department's online presence, and establishing strategic network structures. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Media Informatics, Communication Sciences, Media Studies, Computer Science, IT Security, Information and Communication Technology, Technical Journalism, or a comparable field; OR completed vocational training in Communication, Information, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in cybercrime prevention or IT security
- At least 3 years of professional experience in communication, information, or electrical engineering if applying with a vocational qualification
- Experience in developing and executing educational workshops and public lectures
- Experience in managing digital media and online campaigns
- Professional experience within the public sector is preferred

- Must pass a police reliability check (background check). Location: Dorsten-Wulfen. Position is permanent and full-time (39.83 hours/week) but open to part-time applicants. Willingness to travel for public events and continuous training in cybercrime trends is required.
