Job Summary
This role involves joining the Defense & Security division to ensure the long-term quality of software solutions and cloud services used by the German Armed Forces and international clients. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for the full testing lifecycle, including planning, design, administration, and execution of test suites for system simulation and data management environments. You will drive test automation, manage release and regression tests, and perform formal document reviews to maintain high quality standards. A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to consult with project managers and leadership on QA strategies while working within both agile and V-Model XT frameworks. The role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy a mix of hands-on testing and strategic quality assurance planning in a mission-critical sector. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in software test planning, design, and execution
- Professional experience in software test automation and test administration
- Proven experience in Java software development
- Experience with structured software testing using tools like JIRA, Jenkins, and Maven
- Experience in quality assurance management and formal document reviews
- Experience with OASIS Web Service Standards is preferred
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to undertake moderate domestic and international travel is required. Experience with V-Model XT and agile processes is advantageous.
