Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position within the Central Criminal Investigation Unit of the Lüneburg Police Department focuses on the critical field of mobile forensics. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and analyzing malware on infected hardware, securing digital evidence from mobile devices, and bypassing security mechanisms to retrieve data for criminal proceedings. Day-to-day tasks include developing custom software solutions to support investigations, securing evidence from cloud and network services, and preparing technical reports for court. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings and provide technical advice to police leadership during special operations. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor of Science or Diploma) preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a comparable role within information and communication technology
- Professional experience in identifying, analyzing, and documenting malware
- Experience in forensic data backup and securing evidence from mobile interfaces and cloud services
- Experience in the technical preparation of complex data systems for judicial use
