Job Summary
As a Junior IT Service Owner, you will join the central Innovation and Development team to ensure the reliability and user-centric evolution of digital services for WBS Schools. Your daily responsibilities include managing system maintenance, ensuring operational security through Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and handling change requests and request fulfillments. You will bridge the gap between technical system administration and service management by maintaining backlogs, roadmaps, and technical documentation. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to work with various departments to provide first-level support, improve user experience, and conduct staff training. The position offers significant flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time work (30-40 hours) and the choice of working in Berlin, Dresden, or 100% remotely. It is an ideal opportunity for a structured professional looking to combine technical administration with project management and service optimization in an educational context.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in administration, data management, digital management (Kaufmann/-frau für Digitalisierungsmanagement), or IT systems (Fachinformatiker für Systempflege).
Experience
- Professional experience in the administration of IT systems or digital tools
- Experience in managing networked digital services and their interfaces
- Practical experience using service and project management platforms (e.g., ticket or backlog tools)
- Experience in planning and coordinating small projects or sub-projects
- Experience in team collaboration and fostering cooperative work environments
- Initial experience in conducting training sessions is preferred
