Job Summary
As a Senior Energy Manager at USAG Bavaria in Grafenwoehr, you will serve as the primary technical expert responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive energy management program for the US military garrison. Your day-to-day responsibilities include advising the Garrison Commander on energy consumption, resilience, and compliance with federal and military regulations. You will lead efforts to reduce energy costs, oversee projects from conception to completion using ESPC and UESC financing mechanisms, and conduct energy audits and life-cycle cost analyses. This role is unique as it offers the opportunity to work in an international environment on a US military installation, managing large-scale energy resilience exercises (ERRE) and coordinating with both German utility providers and US federal agencies. The position combines technical engineering oversight with strategic policy development to reduce the facility's carbon footprint and improve sustainability.
