Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineer at TÜV SÜD, you will transition from desk-based work to a dynamic field-based role as an expert inspector for elevator systems. Your daily responsibilities involve the independent testing and assessment of various elevator installations, ranging from legacy relay-controlled systems to modern software-based control technologies. You will ensure compliance with CE conformity and machine directives while engaging with cutting-edge topics like sensor technology, functional safety, and cybersecurity. This position is particularly attractive because it offers a structured path to becoming a certified expert in conveyor technology, with opportunities to expand your expertise into cranes, lifting platforms, and escalators over time. Based in the Munich area, you will act as a key technical consultant for clients, ensuring public safety and technical reliability in a role that balances technical depth with professional autonomy.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering
- Experience in technical inspection or assessment of industrial systems
- Practical experience with drive technologies and control systems
- Demonstrated experience in customer communication and technical argumentation
- Experience in field service or on-site client consulting
Languages
Additional
- Valid driver's license (Class B) required; readiness for field service within the greater Munich area; ability to undergo training to become a certified expert (Sachverständiger).
