Job Summary
This role involves serving as an independent financial and technical control authority for the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) in Hannover. As an IT Auditor, you will plan and execute comprehensive IT audits, including system, process, and security assessments. Your day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating IT governance and compliance, particularly regarding data protection and information security, and conducting risk analyses of IT infrastructure and applications. You will also be a strategic partner in digital transformation, developing new audit standards that leverage automation and AI. Beyond auditing, you will provide advisory services and training to clients on IT security and revision topics. This position is unique as it combines the rigor of a public audit office with a meaningful social context, offering a collaborative environment within an innovative team of 20 professionals. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (M.Sc. or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Security, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration with an IT focus.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in IT auditing, IT security, system administration, or IT consulting
- Proven experience in conducting audits according to legal or regulatory requirements
- Experience in presenting audit results to management boards and specialized departments
- Professional experience in developing IT audit methodologies and standards
