Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading a newly created department focused on the strategic control and standardization of system architecture within one of Europe's largest banking IT service providers. You will be responsible for establishing, documenting, and enforcing central architectural guidelines for IT production, working in a federated process with business unit architects. Your daily activities will include coordinating between various architectural disciplines—such as enterprise and application architecture—to ensure a coherent and transparent system landscape. A key part of the role is balancing functional, economic, and regulatory factors, including DORA compliance, to drive standardization. This position is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys shaping organizational structures and representing complex technical strategies to both internal and external stakeholders. The role offers a high degree of creative freedom within a stable, long-term employment framework at a major digitalization partner for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification/equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT architecture or a related field
  • Proven experience in leading employees and managing complex tasks
  • Solid and comprehensive knowledge of system and/or enterprise architecture
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing regulatory requirements for IT architecture
  • Professional experience in coordinating between diverse organizational stakeholders
