Job Summary

As a Junior Materials Engineer at Uhde High Pressure Technologies, you will play a vital role in supporting the lifecycle of industrial high-pressure systems operating at up to 14,000 bar. Your daily responsibilities include advising internal departments such as Service, Procurement, and Design on material selection for customer offers and engineering phases. You will independently assess damage cases, such as corrosion issues, and assist senior experts in evaluating material deviations (NCRs) and creating Particular Material Appraisals (PMA) in coordination with accredited bodies. Additionally, you will contribute to R&D projects focused on the innovation of high-pressure materials. This position is ideal for a motivated graduate looking to build deep technical expertise in a specialized high-tech environment. Required Skills

Education

University degree (TU/FH) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Materials Science or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience or focused academic background in materials science and metallic materials (specifically steel)
  • Experience in mechanical design and construction principles
  • Experience in handling technical deviations and material assessments
  • Initial experience or willingness to participate in R&D projects for material development
