Job Summary

This part-time (50%) research position at the University of Marburg offers a dedicated pathway to earning a doctorate within the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will join Professor Robert Berger's research group to conduct theoretical investigations into finite nuclear effects in molecular systems, alongside research on molecular spectroscopy and dynamics within static external fields. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing scientific services in research and teaching, performing quantum chemical descriptions of molecular systems, and utilizing specialized computational software. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Chemistry.

Experience

  • Professional experience in theoretical chemistry research
  • Experience with the quantum chemical description of molecular systems, including chiral systems
  • Practical experience using at least one quantum chemistry software package
  • Experience using at least one computer algebra system
  • Completion of a Master's thesis specifically in the field of Theoretical Chemistry
