Job Summary
This role involves leading high-profile construction projects for the Helmut Schmidt University (HSU) campus development in Hamburg. As a Project Manager within the Federal Building Department (BBA), you will operate within an Integrated Project Delivery (IPA) framework, representing the client in a collaborative alliance with planning offices and construction firms. Your daily responsibilities include managing the entire project lifecycle from planning through execution to commissioning. You will be responsible for controlling schedules, costs, quality, and risks while utilizing modern methodologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Management. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, equivalent skills and experience or qualification for the second track of the civil service (Technical Services).
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in technical building services, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering
- Professional experience in managing large-scale building construction projects, preferably during planning and execution phases
- Experience with multi-party contracts or partnership-based project models is highly desirable
- Experience in the public construction sector or military-related projects is beneficial
