Job Summary
As a Measurement Technician and Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and operation of DVB systems for digital television and radio broadcasting. Based at the Media Campus in Vienna, your daily responsibilities include monitoring the ORS Playout System on the ASTRA satellite, troubleshooting technical faults, and performing system modifications. You will act as a key technical point of contact for customers during disruptions and must be capable of making independent decisions in high-pressure error scenarios. This position is particularly attractive due to its 4-day work week shift model (38.5 hours) and the opportunity to work at the intersection of energy technology and high-end media broadcasting. Required Skills
Education
Higher Technical College (HTL) Matura/Diploma in Communications Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in the media or telecommunications industry is preferred.
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining technical broadcasting facilities.
- Practical experience in error diagnosis and independent decision-making during technical failures.
- Experience with system expansions and plant modifications.
