Job Summary

As a Service Technician for Fire Alarm Systems, you will join the Building & Infrastructure Projects team at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. This role involves maintaining fire alarm systems on German offshore High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) platforms in the North and Baltic Seas, as well as their associated onshore converter stations. Your daily responsibilities include performing maintenance according to service contracts, analyzing alarm and error messages, troubleshooting, and conducting structured functional tests. You will also serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing feedback on completed work and potentially handling commissioning or system modifications. This position is unique for its rotation model, typically involving two-week deployments on offshore platforms followed by two weeks of compensatory time off. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in fire alarm technology, including technical execution and knowledge of relevant standards
  • Experience in electrical engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience working in offshore environments or willingness to work on sea platforms
  • Experience in customer service and conducting professional service discussions
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a cooperative team structure

Additional
