Job Summary
As a Customs Specialist in Schwerin, you will be responsible for the professional processing of import activities using the ATLAS/MIC customs software. Your day-to-day duties involve maintaining master data, assisting in the classification of goods into the customs tariff, and monitoring incoming goods. You will play a key role in developing and training others on customs-related procedural instructions and processes in collaboration with various departments. This role requires meticulous attention to detail as you will be tasked with identifying and reporting errors in shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with safety and storage regulations within the customs area. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in a commercial field, such as Freight Forwarding Agent, Customs Officer, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in freight forwarding with a focus on imports

- Experience in handling shipping documentation and identifying errors
- Experience in monitoring warehouse and safety regulations within a customs context
